Certain nutrients can provide some protection against UV rays acting in a similar (but weaker) way to sunscreen. These protective effects are not instant, so this is something to build up for several weeks or months before the summer. They are never a substitute for SPF sun protection however, so you still need to always wear sunscreen – see below for product recommendations.
